In my search for exhaust system hangers I really struggled to find anything that was CJ7 specific, so I decided to fabricate my own mounting plates and hanger setups.

The local Lowe's had some 1/8" thick 3" wide metal stock and Harbor Freight had a steel cutting miter saw blade that worked very well. Using my press I bent the rear plate to account for a deformity in the rear crossmember and to provide some lift for the tailpipe.

The rest of the pieces are universal exhaust hangers that should provide me enough flexibility during installation to account for my mistakes.

Mounting plate for the muffler. This piece attaches to the emergency cable bracket near the middle of the frame.

Tailpipe hanging bracket. Using a long socket I pressed it into the bar to create a crease.
